About.

Biography.

Jacob Joseph is a pianist, songwriter, and amateur creative writer claiming dual citizenship in both Virginia and South Carolina. His goal as an artist is to create opportunities for encountering truth, goodness, and beauty honestly in the world that is, with full acknowledgement of its brokenness, and with real hope for its redemption.

Growing up, Jacob read C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, and Tozer, and listened to the music of Rich Mullins, Keith Green, and Mozart. He holds degrees in piano performance and piano pedagogy from Liberty University and the University of South Carolina, where he worked as a teaching assistant in piano pedagogy and music theory. He currently works as a director of church music and teacher of large quantities of private piano lessons. He enjoys visiting L’Abri, volunteering at the South Carolina Study Center, and working towards the realization of numerous creative projects. Currently he is writing and arranging songs for two albums, Garden, and Sketches in Prayer, and will begin releasing singles from these projects on streaming services this spring.

He also enjoys writing novels. If you are reading this and happen to be a literary agent (a legit one, and not a scammer) coffee should happen.
